Girl Scout Cookies Make the Perfect Gift for the Holidays

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Dec. 14, 2017) – As the holiday classics take over the airwaves, the Girl Scout Hornets’ Nest Council brings its classic cookies to the gift-giving season with flavors that will tickle your taste buds.

Beginning Friday, Dec. 15, a female entrepreneur from a local Girl Scout troop will bring holiday cheer for as little as $4 a box. Cookie lovers from Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Rowan, Stanly, Union and York Counties will have the most wonderful time of the year with Samoas, Thin Mints, Do-si-dos and five additional cookie choices.

One can deck the halls with cookies by ordering through a local Girl Scout’s personalized website or mobile app. This holiday season, girls can sell cookies anywhere, at any time and includes options for direct shipment, girl delivery or a donation option.

Cookies ordered online arrive within three to five business days, just in time to make things merry and bright. Girl Scout cookies ordered through traditional methods such as door-to-door sales will be delivered starting in February 2018.

Rest peacefully knowing that these cookie sellers are learning life-long business lessons such as goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. Much like the holiday’s time-honored traditions, the Girl Scout’s cookie program is a time-honored tradition that fuels growth for every G.I.R.L., a go-getter, innovator, risk-taker, and leader.

With 16,000 girls and adults in the eight-county area, the Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council has a cookie on everyone’s holiday list. For a complete cookie roster, visit https://www.hngirlscouts.org/en/cookies/about-girl-scout-cookies/meet-our-cookies.html.
