Programs for Veterans, Service Members and Military Families Fueled by “dog tag” sales

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. (June 6, 2017) – Beginning June 10 and running through July 15, QuickChek customers will have the opportunity to support veterans, service members and military families through the convenience store’s “dog tag” campaign.

For the fourth year, QuickChek customers are invited to purchase $1 “dog tags” in support of military families. Each dog tag purchased can be signed and posted on the walls of QuickChek stores to show support of our nation’s heroes.

All proceeds from the in-store promotion will benefit Hope For The Warriors®, a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, family and hope for post-9/11 service members and military families.

QuickChek’s ongoing commitment to its communities was among the reasons it was named the 2016 National Convenience Store Chain of the Year.

“We are very pleased to continue to honor and support our service members and their families who give so much of themselves,” said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling, whose family-owned-company has raised millions of dollars to support a variety of causes benefiting children, families, and veterans."

In 2016, the New Jersey-based fresh convenience store’s “dog tag” campaign raised more than $163,000 benefiting Hope For The Warriors.

“It’s a great honor to receive the continued support of QuickChek and its employees and customers for the fourth year in a row,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and president of Hope For The Warriors. “There is a strong military tie in New Jersey and New York and we, at Hope For The Warriors, are proud to assist veterans, service members and military families here and across the country.”

In addition to the annual “dog tag” campaign, QuickChek gives generously to Hope For The Warriors through a summer charity golf outing and sponsorship of Hope For The Warriors events such as the Long Island Run For The Warriors.

Since 2014, QuickChek has raised more than $375,000 benefiting Hope For The Warriors and its programs.
