SUMMER CAMP AT RESCUE RANCH IS ANYTHING BUT ORDINARY

STATESVILLE, N.C. (April 12, 2016) – With more than 60 “critters” involved, Rescue Ranch’s Critter Camps are anything but ordinary.

Beginning June 20, preschoolers to eighth-grade students can participate in Critter Camps, one-week summer camp sessions offering hands-on educational experiences and animal interactions.

Critter Camps take place at Rescue Ranch, a nonprofit animal welfare organization located in Statesville, North Carolina that involves many of its residents in humane education programs.

Based on age, parents can enroll a child in a variety of programming. A $15 discount applies if registered by April 30.

“Life At The Ranch” is open to preschoolers to learn about animal care, story time, crafts, interact with animals and more.

For kindergarten through fifth-grade students, two themed sessions are available - “Animals As Olympians” and “Animals Around The World.” Course curriculum includes exploration of what makes an animal special and unique, different animal habitats, caring for and interacting with animals and more.

Sixth through eighth grade students interested in becoming a veterinarian can register for the “Future Veterinarian” camp, an interactive week of learning about x-rays, surgery, sutures, dental health and more.

The Critter Camp schedule is as follows:
• June 20-24: Life at the Ranch and Animals as Olympians
• June 27-July 1: Future Veterinarian Camp
• July 11-15: Life at the Ranch and Animals as Olympians
• July 18-22: Future Veterinarian Camp
• Aug 1-5: Life At The Ranch and Animals Around the World
• Aug 8-12: Life At The Ranch and Animals Around the World

Registration will remain open as long as space is available. For more information on Rescue Ranch’s Critter Camps, associated costs and to register, visit http://www.rescueranch.com/camps.
