LET THE FUR FLY AT RESCUE RANCH’S ADOPTION FAIR JUNE 14

STATESVILLE, N.C. (June 11, 2014) –Animal lovers are invited to let the fur fly at the Rescue Ranch Flag Day Adoption Fair and Critter Camp Open House June 14 in Statesville, North Carolina.

Encouraging animal adoptions to end pet overpopulation is one goal of Rescue Ranch, an animal welfare organization located on more than 87 acres committed to humane care and education.

Community guests are invited to find a “fur”ever friend Saturday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.

Located at 1424 Turnersburg Highway in Statesville, Rescue Ranch will play host to more than 10 animal rescue organizations, including The Omega Fund, Hartman's Haven Dog Rescue, Circle of Friends Greyhound Adoptions Inc., Ironstone Lane Rescue and Stables, South of the Bully Rescue, American Black and Tan Coonhound Rescue, S.A.F.E. Animal Haven, Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, Iredell County Animal Services Alexander County Animal Services and more.
Local organizations will have “paw”fectly good rescue animals seeking a new home available for adoption at Rescue Ranch’s Adoption Fair.

In addition, guests can learn about Rescue Ranch’s Critter Camp. For children in first through eighth grade, Critter Camp offers seven one-week sessions of hands-on learning by experiencing all things fur, feather and scales with animal-related educational activities, animal interactions, special guests, crafts and other activities.

Select camp sessions also feature a mock veterinary program provided by VCA Animal Hospitals. Children will learn some of the ins and outs of the profession, including practicing sutures and learning about animal health.
