CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- May is a big month at Charlotte Motor Speedway and has been a tradition race fans have come to love over the past three decades.

And along with the actual races comes some festivities for people all across the Carolinas.

This morning on Larry’s Look, we were joined by Jay Howard -- the President of the "600 Festival Association" -- which this year is celebrating it's 30th Anniversary. Howard talked about a variety of free events that will be held throughout the our area.

Created to celebrate and promote motor sports, the 600 Festival Association will be hosting four free events in Mecklenburg, Iredell and Cabarrus counties: Movies on the Campus May 9 in Kannapolis, Haulers on Union May 15 in Concord, Little 600 May 20 in Mooresville and Coca-Cola Speed Street presented by Chevrolet in Charlotte May 22-24.
